At Union Bethel AME Church in Brandywine, MD, under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Harry L. Seawright, she also taught Baptism Counseling, New Members Classes, and Bible Study. In August 2007, as part of the Seawright for Bishop campaign, Rev. Grant traveled to South Africa as part of a group of ministers, doctors, nurses, and missionaries, to participate in a missions trip, that included ministering, distributing clothes, money, toiletries, and other items to the people of Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa and Maseru, Lesotho. Rev. Grant has a passion for mission work and also serves as part of the AME Church’s Women in Ministry (WIM).

Rev. Grant gives all honor and glory to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for what He has done in her life. She lives by Proverbs 3: 5-6, knowing that if she continues to trust in the Lord, God will lead her down the path that is designed especially for her. Her prayer is that everyone comes to know the mercy and love of Jesus Christ—this prayer gives her purpose.
