Debra A. Grant, MDiv., is the Associate Minister at Mt. Gilboa African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in Catonsville, MD. At Mt. Gilboa she assists the Pastor with the Outreach Ministry and also works with the Women’s Ministry. In April 2006 Rev. Grant was an ordained Itinerant Elder in the AME Church.

Rev. Grant’s academic credentials are as follows: Prince George’s Community College, MD; Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bowie State University, Bowie, MD and Master of Divinity from Howard University, Washington, DC. She has taken several courses and workshops in Writing and Editing, Christian Education, and Government Ethics.

As a minister in the AME Church, Rev. Grant has preached and conducted workshops in the following areas: Evangelism, Christian Education, Church Anniversaries, and Youth Celebrations. At Union Bethel AME Church in Brandywine, MD, under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Harry L. Seawright, she also taught Baptism Counseling, New Members Classes, and Bible Study. In August 2007, as part of the Seawright for Bishop campaign, Rev. Grant traveled to South Africa as part of a group of ministers, doctors, nurses and

missionaries, to participate in a missions trip, that included ministering, distributing clothes, money, toiletries, and other items to the people of Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa and Maseru, Lesotho.

Rev. Grant gives all honor and glory to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for what He has done in her life. She lives by Proverbs 3: 5, 6, knowing that if she continues to trust in the Lord, God will lead her down the path that is designed especially for her. Her prayer is that everyone comes to know the mercy and love of Jesus Christ—this prayer gives her purpose.
